Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger attended the club's board meeting where his future, summer plans and a backroom reshuffle was discussed.
Legit.ng understands that the Frenchman has agreed to extend his stay at the club with a formal announcement to follow on Wednesday, May 31.
Wenger joined the club in 1996 and has always privately insisted he has always wanted to stay.
The board will meet once again to discuss coaching reshuffles and other minor changes to Wenger's job.
The FA Cup win at Wembley has helped change the mood among many fans and members of the board who want Wenger to remian.

The club will table contract offers for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil - by offering them a combined £30million per season in salary.
The Gunners are set to offer Sanchez a new contract with a two year extension in excess of £275,000-a-week to keep him at the club until 2020.
Ozil has been offered £280,000-a-week to stay though he wants around £350,000-a-week.
